Welcome to my Flickr!

lines of communication 089/YIP09

As you can see by my pictures, most are off the cuff snapshots with planned shots in there from time to time. I need to get in a habit of carrying my camera with me on my commute to and from work instead of wishing I had it with me. There is always a picture worth taking in Chicago.

My wife and I moved to Chicago in 2000 and have suffered through winter ever since. Coming from Alabama (Roll Tide!) the whole experience has created many dualities in my personality and beliefs. Well, my beliefs may not have changed much, but I understand why others may feel the way they do given their environments. I can understand them, and we can get along so long as we all agree that I am right.

I have a one year old son, a wife and two beagles that may or may not be up to having their pictures made, but you will probably see them in more than one shot.

So have a look around and enjoy. I fancy myself a mediocre photographer with flashes of "fair-to-middlingness". I hope that comes out in some of my pictures. Enjoy!

p.s. I'm trying to get out to look and see what/who is on Flickr for some inspiration and education. If I've added you as a contact it is more so I can go back to your pictures and learn from you or find some inspiration. I'm not looking to steal your stuff or stalk you, honest. I just liked your stuff and wanna see more of it. I know squat about post-processing, but I am beginning to invest the time and hope to improve.

Feel free to comment on any of my pictures with criticism or praise. I can take it.
