Based in the heart of Akihabara, Otaku2 is a research center running an information-sharing service for fans of Japanese popular culture outside Japan. In addition, this group of devoted fans gathered from around the world has created resources such as an up-to -the-minute English-language Akihabara map, a working encyclopedia of terms and concepts central to otaku culture and tours of important areas of Tokyo such as Akihabara. Otaku2 is by fans, for fans, and is hoping to instigate boundless communal activity.
