We are Meerim and Ortwin Oberhauser. We are happily married and we have one son, Enzo Emilio (born 2006) and Ortwin has one daughter (born 1997) from his frist marriage, her name is Victoria.

We are an open-minded couple with a cosmopolite lifestyle.

The cosmopolite lifestyle comes with our business (Ortwin is founder of International Guest Certified Hotels = The 1. international guest hotel community of “active hospitality”) and the fact that Merim is Kirghiz (Asian) and Ortwin is Austrian (European) by birth.


Meerim is born and grew up on Lake of Issyk Kul in Kyrgyzstan,

Ortwin is born and grew up on Lake of Constance (German Bodensee) in Bregenz Austria.

So it should not surprise that we are real Lake Lovers!

We speak English, Russian, German and Kyrgyz.

We don't take life, or ourselves, too seriously and we allways open for having some fun.
Photographing is one of our hobbys and so we like share pictures and too we like this easy going flickr way to come in contact with nice people from all over the world.

Short Issyk Kul Info by the side:

“Issyk Kul” means “hot lake” I think the Kyrgyz name this lake "hot lake" because the Issyk Kul Beach is such a perfect place for hot privat parties ;-). There is just little tourist infrastructure here, so you are always free to roam. Where ever you like you can easy going drive direct to the lake to have a little privat beach party. Official they tell this Lake is named "hot lake", because the water never freezes not even in winter.

The crystal clear, high-altitude Lake of Issyk Kul is from its water volume the biggest and from it's surface area the second biggest alpine lake on earth. If you would like see some photos from Issyk Kul Lake please visit our group Issyk Kul & Titicaca Friends.

The Issyk Kul is a saline Lake located at an altitude of 1,606 m in the northern Tian Shan mountains on the Silk road. Looking south from Cholpon-Ata City you can see the snow-covered Tien Shan mountains forming a spectacular wall, with peaks rising more than 7000 m. Beyond them is China. And, behind you to the north, the more modest Kungey Alatau mountains separated us from Kazakhstan. The nature here on Issyk Kul is not only for photographers a real paradise.
