I have been an amateur photographer for less than two years.

I started with Flickr about 17 months ago and fell in love with it. I enjoy all the creative works, from amateur to professional photographers, that Flickr has to offer.

I appreciate the great outdoors and the beauty that nature lends us.

I have a Canon EOS 7D and a Rebel T1i SLR cameras.

I have the following Canon lenses:
EFS 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS
EFS 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS (my favorite)
EF100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM
EF 50mm f/1.8II photography.
150-500mm F5-6.3 APO DG OS telephoto lens by Sigma
11-16mm F2.8 AT-X 116Pro DX Aspherical by Tokina
70-200mm F2.8L IS USM Telephoto lens by Canon
77mm Hoya Pro1 Circular Polarizer fliter

In bright and sunny shots I use circular polarizer filters on all my lenses.

I occasionally use a Samsung and a Fujifilm point-and-shot cameras.

I use Manfrotto Mono/Tri pods with Manfrotto midi ball head.

I appreciate your opinions on my amateur status and will take constructive criticism to heart. That will hopefully make me a better shutterbug.

A short bio of Orka korak:

Born in Slovenia but lived in Metro Vancouver, Canada most of my life.

The Orca Whale is my favorite sea creature. Hence my pseudonym Orka. I used the Slavic spelling of the whale. Korak is Slavic for step. The step signifies my entry into amateur photography. A whale of a step!
