i got my DSLR in 2005 and for two years it got a flogging.
in 2007 i was introduced to world of warcraft; in 2008 i had my first child.
those two things combined meant that photography was pretty much put on the backburner and i didn't give much thought to it. sometimes i'd yearn for the days when i would go out and take photos all day with friends in newtown, or the city.... but then i'd be needed by either the baby or the WoW guildies for a run into Naxx and it was forgotten.
so, now i've quit WoW and almost immediately my camera (an Olympus E500) waved its little hand and said 'remember me?'. i signed up for a photography course to learn the technical crap i couldn't be bothered wading through the manual for, and presto. a hobby is reborn.
