orangeacid's photostream |
I'm 19 and self-taught myself for the first four years and have just begun a BA in photography at NTU.
I rarely post on Flickr these days so my photostream isn't really reflective of the sort of stuff I take. Check out my website instead for a better idea.
Digital:
EOS 5DmkII
EOS 40D
EF 70-200/2.8L IS
EF 24-70/2.8L
EF 17-40/4L
EF 50/1.4
EF 100/2.8 Macro
Sigma 10-20/3.5-5.6 EX
Film:
Bronica SQ with 50/3.5, 80/2.8, 150/3.5, various bits to go with it
Olympus OM40 with 50/1.8
EOS 5 (with digital lenses above)
Holga FN
Vivitar V3800N
I also use Hasselblad and Mamiya, but these are rented from uni
I don't by any means believe that quality of volume of gear makes a photographer better or worse - I just enjoy spending my money on gear.

Jyoti Mishra says:
"Errr.... well I can't really outdo the last bit of Nat's testimonial.. :-O
But I can say that Dan has both and amazing eye for an image and the technical skills to pull it off. I really do believe, if he works at it and wants it enough, that his career could be in photography."16th June, 2008

Lá caitlin says:
"This guy is very freindly and supportive. Well theres no more to say he should already know what a great photographer he is!"

Grace's Tophography says:
"Not only is he really cool, he's a great photographer and contact too. His photos give you an insight to his life and friends. They're sharp, colourful and refreshingly original. Dan knows what he's talking about and has taught me a fair bit. Oh, he also got onto the Flickr front page which just shows how great his photos are!"

Lil Larkie says:
"I THINK HES RUBBISH.
Not really. Dan puts a lot of effort into his photography and really has an eye for detail. He doesn't stick to taking simple photos, he is imaginative and really plans what he's going to do and doesn't mind trying something new out.
His work is original and of a professional quality. It shows his knowledge of a camera and how he can make simple objects and settings look breathtaking."16th December, 2006

Wormsley says:
""Dan is one of those people who can take a boring old object, and by taking a picture from a crazy angle or with ridiculously slow shutter speed can make it look great.""
