I am a vegan, straight-edge, provisional pacifist, dog-lover, American car enthusiast, convertible owner, designer, metalsmith, artist; jeweler. I love blue, like plastic, and hate facial hair. I listen to aggressive music that has dominant vocals and/or poignant lyrics. I document pretty much everything with a camera - and share almost all of it, even though I am pretty sure almost none of it is of interest to anyone but me. I earned my BFA in Painting, Metalsmithing, and Creative Writing at Eastern Michigan University and my MFA in Metals at the University of Washington. I am an Associate Professor, and the Chair of the Allesee Metals/Jewelry Design Program at Kendall College of Art and Design. I have been teaching classes that deal with metalsmithing, production techniques, CAD/CAM, jewelry design, professional practices, thesis, and -on occasion- the history and context of jewelry since 2002.
