Open Africa is a non-profit organisation under the patronage of Nelson Mandela which offers authentic, life enriching journeys across Africa to travellers, while enabling livelihoods and enhancing conservation. Off-the-beaten-track travel routes are created around an area’s travel attractions, giving travellers the information they need to create their own self-drive itinerary. Fifty-six travel routes in six countries support 2208 local businesses which employ 30 000 people.
