When I was a kid, my dad had a 35mm Canon rangefinder (wish I knew the model) that he used to take pictures of the family when we traveled throughout Asia, Europe and North America. That was the camera that got me interested in photography. I got my first camera as a Christmas present when I was 10 (a Kodak Instamatic 77X).

I've been having fun rediscovering photography, learning how the stuff I learned about capturing images all those years ago applies in the age of digital imaging. After waiting for what seemed like too many years, I finally took the plunge and got my own DSLR, a Canon T3i, this past December.
