onepinkfuzzy...how do I explain? It came to me in a meditation years ago. It's how I view my very essence, my integrity - my 'soul', for lack of a better word. (Even though for YEARS I totally detested the color pink (just because I'm a girl, you expect me to like the color pink?!). Orange is actually my favorite color (well, orange and 'sunset', which I suppose has pink in it). Everyone has a pink fuzzy, although it may not be pink - or even fuzzy!

As a child growing up in Northern CA, my mom gave me the constant admonition to "do something productive!" My room was littered with short stories, poems, coloring books full of colors and piles of drawings and construction paper reproductions of the ocean, the sun, hearts and flowers - many, many hearts and flowers - as expressions of what was alive in my soul (my pink fuzzy) at the moment.

As an adult living in Arizona, my house is littered with half-written novels, poems, sketch books full of color, and piles of drawings/paintings/collages of the ocean, the sun, hearts and flowers - many, many hearts and flowers - as expressions of what is alive in my soul (my pink fuzzy) at the moment.

My "something productive" continues to evolve as I learn new tricks, techniques and combinations of random found materials to create altered art for the soul.

bold, VIBRANT, alive

Make your soul happy!

One-of-a-kind luscious mixed-media/collage/altered art creations full of color and texture. I love to use altered photographs, acrylics, pastels, foil, water colors, ribbons, colored pencils, flowers, candy wrappers and other random found materials. I usually mount my creations on vintage book covers or children's board books (although I'll use anything, even an old, discarded pair of jeans!)

Each piece is handcrafted and original. I coat everything in varnish, to protect each piece and keep the colors vibrant. Everything is signed (usually on the back, although I may sign some on the front).

I also create custom photo art - you send me your photo, any associated ephemera/memoriabilia, favorite colors, any quote or journal pages or anything else, and I'll turn it into a special, one-of-a-kind hand-made keepsake.

I'm not just about art; I also love trail and ultrarunning. I write about my running adventures (or lack thereof) at www.breakingthetape.com/onepinkfuzzy
