I'm a photographer who's based in Devon.
I'm film based, for the moment, for a couple of reasons.

Firstly, I really quite like it. Being analogue, the picture I capture actually exists on something physical. It's a physical, mechanical process, and there's something I quite like about that.

Secondly, I can't afford a decent digital camera. :o)
Digital has many advantages, but the times I've used a DSLR, I've come away feeling like 'Is that it?'. All too often, I think digital is making people into good software technicians rather than good photographers. Perhaps the definition is changing.

I'm not one to spend hours in software making adjustments, pretty much what you see is what you get.
I may clean up any marks from the scanner, maybe adjust brightness/contrast, and if I do go into some depth with a software retouch then it'll be flagged and be a feature of the image.

Either way, enjoy what you will, ignore the rest.
