I am a painter in New York City. I paint graphic, representational images, with bold colors that often resemble woodblock, or woodcut, prints. I am also a linoleum block printmaker. I enjoy etching, but having only a home studio, am reluctant to start playing around with acid only 15 feet away from my bed, plus I have cats. In my larger compositions, like Handshake Deal, I use abstract, geometric paintings to balance compositions, and feel that they derive a meaning when placed next to representational works of similar palettes and compositions.
