I am an independent photographer who has traveled the world endeavoring to capture moments of beauty and truth, in order to inspire and connect people to one another. The countries in which I have worked/traveled include Germany, France, Holland, Bosnia, Croatia, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Mexico, Turkey, Zambia, Nepal, Korea, India, Namibia, South Africa, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates.

By frequently living on-site and interacting extensively with my environment, I have been able to engage in a profound exchange of culture, ideas, perspective, and insight. I seek to reflect the wealth of this exchange in my images.

From 2008-2009, I served as the primary photographer for a non-profit organization called FORGE in three of Zambia's refugee camps. My photos have appeared in the reports and publications of the following organizations: FORGE, UN Refugee Agency, World Vision, Right to Play, Aktion Afrika Hilfe, Flip-Flop Foundation, Dosomething.org, Jeffco Action Center, Change That Works, Insight on Conflict, and the University of Denver.

In my free time, I enjoy anything outdoors (climbing, mountaineering, slacklining, skiing, yoga, organic farming), anything in the sky (aviation, paragliding) and anything in wide open spaces, accompanied by a journal and my camera.

You can contact me at hfalenski at gmail dot com for further information.

Namaste. :-)
