I've been taking photos since high school (which is now too many years ago). But, film and I never clicked. Then I got a Sony point and shoot digital and loved the immediacy of the medium AND the ability to manipulate (i.e. fix) the pictures. I graduated to a DSLR a few years ago and have totally become "that person" - the one with the camera always taking pictures.
Most of my photos are taken in Maryland - many on the Eastern Shore where some of my family lives, the others in Central Maryland and occasionally I'll bring the camera to work and shoot around DC. I have a fondness for parks, water, buildings, rusty stuff and my nephews and niece (who tend to be most cooperative when I'm pointing the lens their way).
I continue to learn and very much appreciate helpful comments and constructive criticism.
In real life, I'm in marketing at the same not-for-profit organization for 25+ (egads!) years now.
