Hi, I'm GC. I'm a college student practicing photography as a hobby. I'm going to use this profile as a short FAQ even though nobody asked me anything. Because if you click on someone's profile, chances are you want more info about that person. Just a hunch.

"ohnogc"? What is that?
"Oh no, GC!" Just something silly I came up with because "GC" is too small to use in online forums and such. "GC" stands for whatever you'd like it to. Or "Grand Cross", which I tend not to go by as much.

How many years have you been practicing photography?
Over a year now. July 2010 was when I first started learning how to use my dSLR. There are long periods of time where I don't really take pictures, though.

How long does it take to get a picture uploaded?
Almost every picture I upload has been edited. Some take a few minutes, some take 10+ hours. Normally, it shouldn't take long. I really have nothing better to do anyway.

How'd you do [x] picture? (What programs do you use?)
Feel free to ask me about individual pictures and the techniques/lighting/etc I used to make them. I have nothing to hide. I just don't share the details in each pic because I'm lazy. Photoshop CS5/LR3 is what I use.

What gear do you use?
I use a 24mm, 50mm and 100mm prime on an expensive camera body, and I have some studio lights and some flashes. Some modifiers too. Gear matters little, btw.

Some of your pictures really suck! Why do you upload them?
Nobody starts off a master of a craft; everyone has to progress. Some progress faster than others (which is what I call talent). To me, there's nothing more inspirational than seeing an artist start off with less than desirable work, then over the years, come out with amazing stuff, thanks to hard work, practice and patience. Not to mention that failing is important, because you learn from your wrongdoings. I don't want to hide anything; I'm flawed in my work, and I accept that.

Can I use your picture for something?
Sure, just don't, y'know, say that it's yours, or try to make money off it or something. If there's a watermark, please don't remove it. Don't remove the exif data either, that's not nice. But, unlike a lot of people, I get that anything uploaded can be stolen; these are just things I'd say if you came to me about this.
