Almost everyday of my life, I have felt like I want to just make something. I am never really sure what that something will turn out to be. In the past I have mainly worked in stained glass, mosaic, painting and jewelry.
I have only recently begun doing collage on paper and I find I love it best. I rarely plan; instead I go with the moment and start cutting and gluing. Collage for me has no restrictions. I can free my imagination to take me wherever it wants to go, and most of the time, I am happily surprised by where I end up.
I never view my images as finished. I figure they can always be something else later, like a card, a part of some jewelry, a pillow, or an idea for an altered book. One idea always leads to another. I really just have a lot of fun doing collage.
