Describe myself... hummm.. Over the Hill, disabled, divorced, and a pain in the rear. Who enjoys taking photos. I think that sums it up...

I started back in 1981 or 82 with an Olympus OM-10. then quit taking photos around 1986 . After becoming disabled I had a lot of time on my hands. I decided to try photography, so I picked up a cheap ($35,00 US) camera, and the bug got me. I purchased a Nikon P-80 and started taking pictures of everything. Decided I needed a SLR and purchased a well-use Canon Rebel 300D. I got about 3000 shots out of it before it gave up it's ghost.
Being some of the neighbors said I was getting pretty good I decided to sell some of my other hobbie equipment and purchase a good Nikon SLR. So I found the Nikon D3000 on sale and purchased it. It is not an expencive camera, but for me it is.
I am currently doing a lot of Child Photography. Not that I am good at it, but when parents get a disk of photos of their kids, they are happy. Many of those I photograph could not afford professional photos, so I look at it as if I am helping to capture memories.

*** NOTE: Some of my Children Sets are "F&F" [Friends and Family]. Other wise known as semi-private. If you desire to see the semi-private sets, "I" must first add you as a contact and set that info to "friend". But I will only set you as a "friend", once I have checked your photostream out.
