I moved, on November 1st 2008, from the city of Glasgow to the Orkney islands in Scotland. I walk the coasts a lot, the sandy beaches, rocky shores and vertiginous cliffs. There are big skies and big waves here and the wind often feels that it has come straight from the North Pole without stopping to catch its breath.
