Hi, I am Baz (Barry Haynes), a retired Oceanographer from the UK.

I now work as a Professional Photographer. I studied Ecology, Geology and Oceanography at the Open University University and did a Post Graduate Degree in Environmental Management at Surrey University.

I worked for the UK Government as a Marine Advisor on their "Common Fisheries Policy Project". I was lucky enough to travel extensivley around Europe and the United States where my love for photography was rekindled with the advent of Digital Equipment, I still hang on to my Olympus OM2 and stable of lenses just in case!

I am based in the UK but work extensively in the USA. I'm an avid traveller I love to be near the ocean or in the mountains or ideally both at the same time. BigSur California is one of My Favourite Travel Destinations

I love to take photographs, Cycle, Walk, create computer graphics, build computers, study Ken-jitsu, Study generally, Walk, Hike, Climb, Scuba dive, and generally enjoy life. . .........

Photography has been my passion for more than 30 years. I have always used Olympus cameras as a travel photographer, they made just about the lightest and most compact DSLR's you could find. I understand that they have now withdrawn from the DSLR market to concentrate on mid-market equipment. So in the next few years I will have to make the move to either Canon of Nikon!
