I'm a Potter, obsessed with flames, embers, ash and the part these forces of nature play in the story of the pot.
It is the the very essence and spirit of the fire dancing across the surface of the pots that excites me. The warm, smouldering toasty hues betray the pots’ flirtation with fire.
I enjoy making pots which hold some link with the environment in which they were created, whether this be using local clay collected a few meters from the studio, or decorated with plants as a testament to the time of year at which they were made.
