New Zealand Wild's photostream  

Hi,
I'm an explorer and nature photographer living on the West Coast of New Zealands South Island .... should read WET coast ! I've been a chef,cave guide and comedian and done the odd bit of farm work and horticulture.
I'm into caving,surf kayaking and skating,music,art and theatre,and play guitar and sing.
I really love exploring the rainforest or coastline discovering and capturing those special places and hidden treasures that most people don't get to see.

I mostly take nature photos,and, in those, I like to capture the scene as close to natural as possible. Although I prefer my nature pics to be realistic, I do like to do a bit of arty and PJ type stuff too. I'm so impressed with the variety and the quality of shots I've seen here,and I've already made lots of cool friends in the short time I've been a member.

I'm currently using a 14.1 mp Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ100
which is a 'compact' with 24x optical zoom & full HD video.

I also use a Raynox DCR150 macro teleconverter for close ups.
