Exploring the world. Taking candid shots with my Canon Powershot SD1100IS and fine art/commercial images with my Canon 5D Mark II (and to a lesser degree with my Canon 20D). Prefer abstract and architectural subjects. I look for shapes, patterns, and textures. Shadows and light. The otherworldly and the mundane. Whatever catches my eye and stops me in my tracks.

Self-taught. Used a 35mm camera for the first time in 1987 when I borrowed my sister's Minolta during a 15-week cross-country trek. In the early 90's, I took a few beginner's classes which allowed me to learn the basics and gain some darkroom experience. I have owned two trusty Pentax film cameras: a P-series and a ZX-M. For film and slide photography, I shot and printed in full-frame; there was little if any cropping. With digital, I try to maintain the same mindset. What I see and compose is what I photograph.

I welcome any comments or critiques on my photography. I would appreciate any advice fellow photographers are willing to offer.
