ABOUT ME
I am entirely self taught using books [my first loves] and the ‘inna-net’

My first camera, was my dad’s old 110 camera [sortof like this]. My subjects were mainly my family [with a school trip or family outing thrown in], with many great ‘photo-ops’ of my sister. She might disagree though. Then I acquired my beloved Canon Canonet 45mm “range finder”. It has manual functions but has a fixed lens and is a bitch to focus. I took some really good photo’s – sometimes. Not really knowing how to use it [and the Canonet is really hard to focus quickly]. Mostly I stuck to using the automatic. Later I graduated to using an inexpensive 35mm point and shoot – but the old range finder was always still there, which I broke out on occasions where I was feeling particularly creative and willing to attempt to learn a bit more.

Fast forward to many years later, and my love for photography continues to grow. In March 2008 I was given my first DSLR for my birthday. And then in March 2009, I acquired a Canon 50D.
