In 2011 the Nuon Solar Team will participate for the fifth time in the World Solar Challenge, a 3000 kilometer time trial from Darwin to Adelaide. This year’s team consists of 13 students from Delft University of Technology. Team members study at different faculties, such as Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Architecture.

This ideal mix of knowledge, bright students and enthusiasm, combined with a legacy of four world champion solar cars, cradled the Nuna6, the sixt solar car of the Nuon Solar Team. Nuna6 will race in the World Solar Challenge as an example of new technology and beauty of sustainable engineering.

By putting together new technology, team work and creativity, the team hopes to win the World Solar Challenge again.
