I was interested in photography in my childhood, like millions did. Now, much time later, I fell in love with this hobby again. For a long time Konica Minolta Z10 was my primary camera. Then Samsung NV11, and finally I got something closer to a real DSLR — a Sony NEX-5.

At the time I was a journalist, I was using an old russian film camera Zenith, and this was the best photo experience in my life. I wasn't a photo journalist however. Now I am shifted towards IT and everything around, and I still am not a pro photographer :)

I was born in Germany, spent all my childhood in Russia, both North and South.
I like this country. Sometimes it's ugly, but Russia feels beautiful in general, and I want to share this feeling with other people.

Now I live in SF Bay Area, California. It is a very interesting place that fascinates me all the time. Most of my latest photos are about it.

I am not good in shotting people portraits and macro. May be landscapes and building photography is mine - I don't know. Your opinion can help me to understand this better.
