JNEM Archives' photostream |
Hello! I'm the archivist at Jefferson National Expansion Memorial in St. Louis-home of the Gateway Arch and the Old Courthouse and a unit of the National Park Service.
I will be posting some of the photographs from our collections. The archives has a wonderful collection of slides of the Gateway Arch construction, however, the names of the workers in the photographs are mostly unknown.
Did you work on the Arch? Do you have a family member or friend who did? Please take a look at our Arch Construction set and tag any people that you can identify for the archival record.
Even if you have no connection with the Arch, I think these photographs will be interesting to anyone who has ever wondered about the construction.
Please feel free to tag, make comments, and make notes on the images!
These photos have no known copyright restrictions.
If you use them in a project, however, we would love to know about it! You can contact us here.
Or just send me a message on Flickr or leave a comment on the photo about how you have used it.
If you would like further information about the park please check the website at www.nps.gov/jeff
or learn more about the park's archival collections at the archives webpage at www.nps.gov/jeff/historyculture/archives.htm
