The goal of the Undergraduate Chemistry Council is to increase chemistry awareness both on and off campus, and also increase fraternity in the scientific community. Through our outreach program, called SCOPE, our members demonstrate the wonders of chemistry to elementary and middle school students in the greater Chicago area. In addition, active members go on both academic and social field trips.

On campus, the UCC sponsors lunchtime research lectures every Thursday, featuring a professor, a graduate student or an undergraduate already involved in research. UCC also sponsors an annual Distinguished Speaker Lecture and a barbecue in the spring.
