Established in 1971, North East Medical Services (NEMS) is one of the largest non-profit community health centers providing health care to a predominantly Asian population in the United States. NEMS serves over 36,000 San Francisco Bay Area residents and generates over 183,000 patient visits each year.

NEMS provides affordable, comprehensive, compassionate and quality health care services in a linguistically competent and culturally sensitive manner to improve the health and well being of its community. NEMS currently operates three clinics throughout San Francisco, with plans for expansion into the San Jose area in 2008.
