i'm a radio producer at KPFA/Pacifica and co-host of Flashpoints (5-6pm, M-F), an investigative newsmagazine. several times a year, i travel to occupied Palestine to report on the ever-unraveling situation for people in the West Bank, Gaza strip, East Jerusalem and inside Israel.

before i started outfitting myself with a microphone, i studied photography as a young adult -- and i've found that interweaving audio with still photography can be one of the most powerful ways in which to tell a story.

born and raised in Berkeley, my inspiration always comes as i retrace my footsteps in my own backyard, even if i'm imagining the redwoods, eucalyptus and oaks from a dusty refugee camp ten thousand miles away.
