I'm a student who loves to travel.
Last summer, I traveled to Tanzania to study chimpanzees and do some volunteer work. I was there six weeks and had a wonderful, amazing experience.
Taking pictures during the trip was a bit of a challenge. I used two cameras - a digital FujiFilm 3800, that having been dropped in Paris last year was on it's very last legs and not working very well (70% of the pictures it took were useless - lines, discoloration, blur - and I tried to get it fixed in Arusha, but all they managed to do was delete a card full of pictures), and a digital video camera, a Canon Elura, which took very low-res stills.
Since, I've purchased a wonderfully discreet little camera (Olympus u740,S740) that fits into any pocket, no matter how small. It's much better than what I was using, but I still hope to get a nicer camera. Eventually.
