But beyond that, she is one of the kindest, sweetest, funniest people I've ever met... if you can say you've "met" someone who is almost 6000 miles away! When I was new to Flickr Heike took me in hand, taught me how it all worked, and shared her world and her wonderful cats with me.... what more can you ask for? I count her as a friend, even if we never get to meet face to face. She's a wonderful person, and as I said, an incredible photographer. It is a privilege to know her."

"Was mir so gut an Heikes Bildern gefällt, ist ihre fotografische "Erzählweise" von Katzengeschichten vor allen Dingen von Bruce und Gina! Ich kann mich beim Betrachten wunderbar über die beiden amüsieren und mir vorstellen, was sie wohl als nächstes aushecken werden und das geht nur, wenn man sie - so wie Heike - wie in einem liebevollen "Katzencomic" darstellt."
