Much of what I'm doing right now is just experimenting with not-too-serious ideas. What I'm most genuinely interested in is conceptualism and neo-conceptualism: photographers I like include Leiko Shiga, Cindy Sherman, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Miwa Yanagi and Jeff Wall. Yeah, a lot of those are Japanese. It's purely because I live here in Tokyo.
But I'm also a fan of straight-forward beautiful images and manipulations.
For those who are curious about such things, I don't use stock images or textures. Everything you see (with the obvious exception of a few collaborations) has been taken by me only.
If you want to blog an image of mine or use them for something, let me know. I like to imagine I'm a reasonable guy. Got questions or something to say, drop me a line.

The one thing that separates Owen from 99.99% of the population with cameras is that he has Vision. Just look at his work. I can get lost in it for hours. It has a perfect balance of delicateness and strength, peace and tension, subtlety and the obvious. He doesn't smack a viewer over the head with his work; instead, it seeps in slowly and leaves a lasting impression. I used to wonder how he comes up with some of his ideas, but I've since stopped trying. Now, I just enjoy the way he sees the world. It's unique but there is also something that I can relate to. It impresses me more and more every time I look at something new.
