I've been taking photos for a few years now, as a hobby. My favourite subject is birds, because they are fascinating to watch and there are plenty around where I live. But I also enjoy shooting landscapes, other animals and portraits, when I can find willing subjects! I also occasionally dabble in macro shots, long exposures and black and white. Photoshop CS4 is my software of choice, but I have only scratched the surface of how to use it.
My camera is only a point and shoot, but with manual controls and lots of other features thanks to CDHK, the hack for Canon cameras.
I shoot in full manual mode 90% of the time. However, I rarely use manual focus - my aim in 2012 is to become familiar with it and use it more often.
