I'm Dan. Ninny is what my 2 year old calls me!

I'm a relative newb to photography outside of work and I am loving it. I've got my first DSLR and am learning summat every day. I'm constantly experimenting and discovering what I like to shoot - I haven't found anything which I feel I could call a niche or style yet - whats the hurry.

I'm a bit of an old git now (35), I was quite arty in my youth but lost touch with that side of me for one reason or another in my early 20s. I've been trying to rekindle some creativity in my life thru photography. It doesn't feel easy yet, I'm not sure that it ever will, but I do enjoy it so thats what counts. I decided to try a 365 type challenge to get myself taking pictures everyday and so hopefully learn how to use he camera and how to compose a nice image and get my broken ol'brains to use a bit of imagination.

I love flickr and exploring everyones work. I'm so impressed (and probably a bit envious!) with what I see and wonder if I could ever be anywhere even half as good one day! I like browsing macros of almost anything, the world of the very very small can be so abstract and amazing colours and textures that you wouldn't think were there if you didn't look. I love natural portraits. I particularly admire those who do the self portrait thing. So brave to show so much of yourselves - physically and emotionally.
If I add you as a fave then you have really touched me with you image, whether it has made me gasp, gulp, laugh or just plain blown me away - I salute you!
