Photography has been the one consistent passion I've held onto throughout this mixed up life of mine. From the 110mm film shots of Llamas as a child barely able to ride a bike, to shooting digital with my Olympus E-510 and Zuiko lenses now. To see the world through a view finder puts everything into a simpler prospective, losing yourself entirely and feeling every breath, heart beat and internal mechanism in your camera working as one. I aspire to become a photojournalist, more specifically a war correspondent. I don't limit myself at all though, I have an equal passion for portraits, nature photography, automobiles and anything that gives me a reason to use my camera. Inspiration for my obsession with photography comes mainly from three people. My Father, for his inspiring work while in the armed service, shooting the volcanoes of Hawaii. Aaron Hawks, for his outstanding portraits of women in his hand built sets with incomparable originality. As well as Robert King, for his inspiring story of following his dream despite fear and danger and capturing his breath taking shots of the wars he covered. With nothing to lose, there is everything to gain.
