I just have to say that I am always blown away by the vast amount of talent I've seen on flickr! Cheers to all budding and veteran photographers who graciously share their beautiful artwork and creative tips! What a wonderful and inspiring place to learn, develop and hone amazing photography skills!

Now, what to say about myself... I am an amateur, and their is no polite adjective to attach to that word, I am an amateur at the most basic of levels, but I am learning and I go forth into every photographic experience with an open mind and hungry ambition! And while we're on the topic of hungry, I love food! That is an understatement, I am deeply passionate about food from the ground up. Given my geographical location and its short growing season, I do my best to grow what I can in my own backyard during the summer and when that fails, or my green thumb decides to go on vacation, I resort to the seasonal farmer's markets and farm stands near my home. I hate to be picky but I love finding quality ingredients and try my best to find the most pure and unadulterated foods to play with and enjoy! This passion, and my aversion to scrapbooking led me to create a relatively amateurish blog that lets me post photographs and recipes of the latest culinary delights and disasters to come out of my kitchen, with a few reviews of favorites restaurants and delicious stores along the way. My blog pushes me to try new things and while I don't always have the time to post on a daily basis, it is always waiting for me when I do have time like a fuzzy pair of slippers tucked under the bed!

Although I love to photograph anything really, I find myself drawn of course to food and all things kitchen. Some may think that food photography is fairly stagnant and unchanging but I find it one of the most challenging and evolving themes to deal with! I am always looking for tips and insight for achieving better, more beautiful food photography and there is no shortage of help and inspiration on flickr!

I been a part of flickr for less than a year but I look forward to the coming months and years and the countless opportunities to make contacts and learn from an endless source of talented veteran photographers and budding amateurs alike!

What a community of beauty we are a part of!
