Nieuwslicht (‘News Light’), is a science news programme on Dutch public television with a duration of 35 minutes. It is broadcast weekly on prime time every Friday evening. We cover science news, technical innovations and we look at the regular news through the eyes of science. We provide our audience factual information about new research and emerging technologies, and their implications on people’s lives and society in general. Nieuwslicht is presented bij Menno Bentveld, who has presented science programmes for more than 10 years. Nieuwslicht won the 2005 Eureka-award, granted by the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research, for best Dutch science television programme.
