Hi, I'm from Dundalk, Ireland and am a member of Dundalk Photographic Society.
For the last number of years I have used a Canon 10D and a Canon 24-105mm f/4L and 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L lens. I've recently upgraded to a Canon 5D Markll, which I find great and have purchased a fairly cheap, second hand Tamron SP AF17-35MM F/2.8-4 Di LD Aspherical (IF) which I'm having great fun and decent results with. If you are looking for a cheap, decent wide angle lens, this one is probably as good as you'll get.
