I work as a consultant and have been lucky enough to visit nearly 30 countries in that capacity. Unfortunately, I rarely stay long enough in any one country to spend time taking photographs. Ethiopia was an exception. I was there for about two years and managed to see a large part of the country. Ethiopia will always be very special for me. The people are warm and friendly - the cultures are extraordinarily rich and the country itself is beautiful - not at all what I had been led to expect.
When not working abroad I live in the lovely village of Ashford in Ireland's garden county, Wicklow. I also like to spend as much time as possible in a little cottage we own in Donegal.
I took my Ethiopian photos mainly as an aide memoire and am delighted with the response they are receiving on Flickr.
I have just got a new Eos 30D to join/replace my trusty old D60.
