James in New York City
Traveling to New York City had to be one of the most amazing traveling experiences of my life. With so much to do and see, there's something for everyone in the Big Apple. And with the help of the Metro system its a breeze to get anywhere you want to go. (Just make sure you have a New York Subway Map
I've traveled to many places prior to my vacation in New York City. I remember when I was at a hostel in Barcelona, Spain and I was sitting amongst other travelers and backpackers. Some of these guys have literally been around the world twice, so I asked a few travelers, what city is the must see city of the world. (Keep in mind I was asking guys that's been to Rio, Tokyo, Paris & so on.) 10/10 travelers responded with “New York”.
Growing up I always wondered what made New York so much "the spot to be"... Now I know.
I did 100 things in New York which is still not enough to even compare with the amount of things their is to do in the big city.
Long story short; I stayed in the middle of Time Square in Manhattan , went to the Broadway musical Wicked, went ice-skating for the 1st time, had the best burgers in New York, partied till 4 am, visited Wall St., road the subway metro system, froze to death and saw New Jersey from the Top of the Rock.

SEO Optimization and Yahoo!’s Flickr Photos
Sticking to old school SEO techniques is dangerous to a website. With search engines incorporating universal search into their SERP's and over 50% of all the nets traffic going to web 2. 0 sites (sites that allow visitors to upload their own content and to contribute to the community). It only makes sense to implement web 2.0 SEO strategies into your business’ internet marketing campaign. Some SEO’s focus on Digg, others on StumbleUpon, but this e-book focuses on Yahoo’s Flickr.
So here's just 5 of many profile optimization tips to help your Flcikr account get more search engine visibility.
1) Your User name is important – When you start a Flickr account, pick a username that has your target keywords in it. Flickr uses your username in your personal profile’s URL and in the title tags of some parts of your profile. If you know anything about SEO, you know adding your keywords to your URL and title tag is important.
2)Title of your pictures – Be sure to name your pictures. This step is by far the MOST IMPORTANT step. Not titling your picture is like not titling the homepage on your website. Adding a descriptive title to your photos is not only important when it comes to SEO, but also for user usability. Since whatever you name the picture will be in the title tag and in the header 1 tag on the page AND that picture is linking back to your profile page, I recommend adding your target keywords to the title of the picture, naturally.
3) Tags – Pretend these are the meta tags on your website. Pick terms that describe your picture and terms that searchers are most likely to type in. If you tag your picture with a tag already created by other users, your picture will be added to that page with a list of all the other pictures with that same tag. This is a good way to make sure the pictures you upload are added to areas that make them relevant to your profile, website and in different Flickr communities.
4) Your Profile Wants to be Keyword Rich! – Treat your Flickr profile’s about me section just like you would the homepage of your website. This is your chance to tell about yourself and what you're about. Write content with your keywords strategically placed throughout it. Some HTML is permitted. So, add links inside your content pointing back to your website. You can bold the content and links, emphasize them and/or perform a few other HTML commands.
5) Search Engines are Looking Beyond your Profile - Search engine are looking to see if your profile creates buzz within the Flickr community. Do you have friends? If so, who? Have you commented on others’ pictures? If so, on whose and what did you say? Has anyone commented on your pictures? Are you part of any groups or have you started any discussions? These are all just a few factors you need to keep in mind when optimizing your profile. You also need some type of internal link popularity within Flickr to stand out amongst all the other Flickr accounts.
