PhotoChix ~aka~ New World Designs' photostream

I am many things, but most of all I make time stand still.

I currently running my own business, "New World Designs" & as much as I enjoy the memories that I capture for my clients, I enjoy capturing the world around me more then anything.

I am a self taught photographer for the most part, but with help from a mentor or two I have become who I am today. I currently work 3 jobs; I run my business, working in billing/secretary, and teaching photography based classes at our local college. I keep VERY busy but most of the time I like it that way.

As well as those 3 jobs, I also volunteer with the organizations "Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep" as an Area Coordinator, and with "The Littlest Heroes Project" as a team photographer. NILMDTS is proving to be a challenge in my area as no hospital will support me in this effort. The LHP is close and dear to my heart. I have now completed 3 sessions with three amazing little kids, all of which are true heros!!! Sadly, my most recent Littlest Hero passed away on the morning of March 13th after a 9 month battle with multiple birth complications. My volunteer efforts are also great in the community as I am a volunteer for Platte County Emergency Management. I am also CERT certified and try to help out as much around the community as I can. I mentor kids of all ages in photography and art as well.

Art is my life, and I fully support other artists! I think that photography should be about the art and feelings behind the images, NOT about making a quick buck! I give back as much as I can because to me that is more rewarding then anything!!! Art is my inspiration, my life!!!!!
