02/15/2012: guess I won't be able to do much in the next few months either...and I'm back with Canon. Actually I still like the 40D but it's just not state of the art anymore...and since I had a really good offer it's now the 60D for me :)
I feared that the build quality wouldn't be great but compared to the Nikon D90 body so far there's nothing to complain. Guess I'll have to play around with the 60D for a while to get use to Canon controls again before I'll start taking new photos.

11/01/2011: yes, I'm still at it, though way too busy with job+uni-stuff...don't even have time to take new photos right now

09/04/2011: this seems to be a bigger task than expected + I'm actually too busy right now...but I'm still on it...and I guess I'll stick with copyrighted after all. As mentioned below, contact me, if you want to use one or some of my photos.

08/14/2011: removed Japan 2008 photos from flickr (ca. 850 pics - that was way too much), now sorting out what I'll re-edit/re-upload...

08/2011: I felt that my flickr really is in need of a clean-up, so I so in the next few weels I'll do the following:

- delete photos (redundant, bad, superfluous stuff)
- rearrange collections/sets (so in the end I'll have a more simple structure)
- reedit photos (over time one's skills and preferences change, so there's quite many pics where I feel, that I can do a better job now)

As a consequence, I guess I'll also have to re-tag and re-add everything to groups, but well...guess I'll have to live with that.
In general, I'll reduce the ammount of photos per collection/group, so I guess I'll end up with ca. 50-60% of what I previously had.

07/2011 due to mostly crappy weather this summer, I wasn't able to take any decent photos + I was too busy with work+stuff anyway...

04/2011: finally got new/decent camera, meaning I'll be out
and shooting again shortly...

12/2010: finished uploading Tokyo photos

11/2010: still not finished with all Tokyo images and way too busy with all kind of other things at the moment...

10/2010: coming up - the pics I took at last september's trip to Tokyo - once I find some time for editing...

08/2010: still lots of re-editing/moving of stuff and even adding new (actually old) photos going on...

05/23/2010: decided to re-edit and upload some older photos (mostly those which were at my old 23hq.com account or which I didn't upload or edit yet)

02/20/2010: finally finished uploading all images of my 2009 trip to Japan :) (next: the missing 3-4 days of 2008)


I'm currently using:
just switched back from Nikon to Canon as I was looking for a good and affordable all-in-one solution which would allow me both photography and videos =
ended up with the Canon EOS 60D
at the moment I only have the kit lens which is rather a toy/joke, so I guess I'll exchange that for some decent glass sooner or later

image editing/raw conversion is mostly done with Adobe Photoshop CS4 and Adobe Lightroom 3 on a Mac running OS X Lion.

Almost every photo here was shot in RAW (10-12MP size) and under certain conditions I'd be willig to provide the original for re-editing or for other use. For anything private/non-profit this would be possible under creative common license (i.e. as long as you give credit, I'm okay with it). For commercial use, another arrangement would have to be made. In any case, just contact me :)
