  "Neill is an example to everyone who knows him. Neill knows what he wants out of life, and he knows how to give. Neill receives his strength from God. Neill went through pretty tough times, as he has been diagnosed with leukemia 4 years ago, but with the help of God, he is surviving. He is due for a bone marrow transplant within the next few months (end of 2008).
  
  Neill is a very keen photographer, and cannot wait for any opportunity to visit wildlife parks. His favourites are Kruger National Park, Sabiepark and Kgalagadi. His favourite "actors" are birds.

  Neill passed away on 17 November 2008. He was a very brave fighter against cancer, but he is with God now - no more pain, no more blood tests, no more bone marrow tests, no more worries. He is happy where he is with Jesus. I know, because he believed in God and trusted Him with his life, and gave his life to Jesus. Amen. (Willie van Schalkwyk)"
