Currently I'm an out of work IT Soltions Architect who is making the most of the free time while tirelessly looking for a new role.

My passions are the outdoors, in particularly rock climbing and mountaineering. I have recently come back from my first climbing trip to ther French/Swiss Alps, which I have to to say was fantastic. My outdoors passion started as a child when my parents used to drag my brother and I across the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and pretty much anywhere else with hills. Eventually we moved from our home in Birmingham to a village near Malvern in Worcestershire where we had hills on right the doorstep.

Now living with my girlfriend in North Wales, I can be in the Lakes, Peak District or Snowdonia all within an hour. Paradise!

My photography is what I describe as amateurish, but improving. I definitely take more duff shots than I do good ones, but I guess thats all part of the learning experience.

My kit consists of a Nikon D80 and various lenses plus a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX500 which I use for my climbing and walking trips. I use the latter mainly because lugging the DSLR up a vertical rock face is a little awkward and the Lumix gives reasonable quality with a good wide angle while not being much bigger than a mobile phone.

I am also bit of a gadget freak who is currently addicted to the iPhone 3GS.
