Governor Neil Abercrombie has represented Hawaii in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1990 to 2010. While in Congress, he served as chairman of the Armed Forces Subcommittee on Air and Land Forces, and a senior member on the Natural Resources Committee.

He was elected Governor of Hawaii in 2010 and plans to leverage his relationships in Congress and friendship with President Obama to bring change to Hawaii. He calls his election as the Governor of the State of Hawaii the culmination of a lifetime in public service and hopes to bring more people into the process of building a better future for Hawaii.
