Newly arrived in R.D. Laing’s hometown, Glasgow, my divided self takes photographs of live music that aspire to the legacy of another legendary British philosopher, John Peel.

When I lived in Brighton, I put on this exhibition at Resident about bands, fans and the spaces in between them and me.

In May 2009, I brought together a group of great local photographers for an exhibition of Brighton music, inspiringly titled Brighton on Brighton.



I shoot digital but prefer film. Occasionally I'm offered commissions and sometimes people buy my photographs. Most of my black & whites are hand printed on Ilford paper and can be negotiated as reasonably priced, limited edition prints. Some of them appeared in the DVD booklet that accompanied the film, All Tomorrow's Parties.

I've recently had stuff in the Quietus and used to contribute Careless Talk Costs Lives, Plan B and Artrocker.
