I like getting out and just driving around until I see something that catches my eye and shooting away at it.

My photostream is kind of all over the place - much like me when I am out shooting.

While I had a photography course in my journalism program, it never prepared me for shooting accidents, fires and many of the other things I have shot over the years. I learned a lot by trial and error on the job and just playing around on my own time. I've also learned by watching other news photographers and non-news photographers. And I still keep learning more every day I shoot.

I use a Nikon D5000 and Nikon D80. I also have Nikon F90X, Nikon 401 and Nikon 601 film cameras as well. I love shooting film and slide.

I'm an editor/reporter/photographer at a newspaper.
