Ol' dude (50+), but not quite a coot. Still many years from retirement, but I'm doing my best to start early. The wifeage and I moved from Southern California to NorCal's Gold Country to follow jobs in '01 and haven't even considered moving back. Two jobs, two dogs, two houses and three boats (if you count kayaks as boats) keep us busy.

I shoot with a Canon SD800IS (I have a waterproof case for it so it gets all the paddling shots) and a Panasonic DMC FZ-18 with the cool 28-504 Leica zoom.
My old Minolta 35mm gear is gathering dust down in the man-cave along with my Beseler 23C enlarger. I still love the SRT-101 metering system (the one I bought in 1971 doesn't work very well any more, but I just can't throw it out. The XGM is fine, but film???). If the new digital SLRs ever come out with a focusing aid like the old Minolta prism/rangefinder combo and match needle metering I will spend the bucks to get one. Until then I'll stick with my point & shoot(s). As far as I can tell, all I'm missing are decent images above 100 ISO.
