My background:

A Malaysian married to a Japanese. Currently making a living as an English Instructor in Okayama, Japan with my husband and my four kitty cats - Chum, Lily, Mel, and Milo.

How long am I going to stay here? Forever? Nah. But I did get Permanent Residency. Just in case I change my mind.

My gear:

I mostly use Nikon D700, SB600, Nikkor lenses, and sometimes my Cheki. Recently, I just got the Olympus Pen E-PL1 as my 32nd birthday gift from my husband.

My dream is to become a professional photographer one day. :) Or to at least find a job where I can get proper education and lots of experience to improve myself.

What I think of photography:

Honestly speaking, I don't believe in too much of post-work editing on Photoshop etc. Getting rid of blemishes is fine but when there's just too much effort put on making someone look thinner or with bigger eyes, that sort of thing, sometimes I think it's just like turning a human being into a cartoon character. I do love effects, by the way. ;)

Whatever it is, it all depends on how you define what beauty is, what art is, what a good photo is.

This is just like religion, you can't force anyone to believe in yours and it is every single person's freedom to choose whatever they like.
