Nausicaa Giulia Bianchi - Brave's photostream  

Giulia Bianchi was born in Genova, Italy.

In winter 2010, she had been assisting the photographer Mary Ellen Mark.

She graduated in June 2011 from the social-documentary program at the International Center of Photography in New York and is currently working as freelancer photographer in New York and Italy.

AWARDS and EXHIBITIONS:

In May 2011, she was selected as 1 of the 10 finalists in the Luceo Student Award 2011 and her project “I am Somebody” (about the new generation of Drag Queens in New York) was shown at the Look3 photofestival in Charlottesville Virginia USA.

On the 21st June 2011, her work was part of a group exhibition at the Leslie Lohman gallery in Soho, New York.

On the 24th June 2011, her work was part of a group exhibition at the International Center of Photography, New York.

TEACHING EXPERIENCES:

Since July 2011, she is teaching assistant at the International Center of Photography, New York.

In particular she taught with famous photographers such Joseph Rodriguez, Andre Lambertson and EJ Camp , actively contributing to the course topics, the critique/menthoring of students and collecting outstanding feedback as teacher.
